Remembering the legend and his appearance at The WrestleCenter
Memphis Wrestling is deeply saddened by the news of Jerry Jarrett’s passing, and we join the wrestling community around the world in mourning today. We also send love and respect to the Jarrett family and anyone whose life was touched by Mr. Jarrett.
As the founder of both the CWA and USWA, Jerry Jarrett was a crucial figure in the history of the Memphis territory as a promoter - but he was also a gifted in-ring performer and a tag-team champion for NWA Mid-America, among others. His influence could also be felt here in Memphis Wrestling as recently as May of 2021, when he helped christen The WrestleCenter and unveiled the Memphis Heritage Championship.
